NJ Residents Can Swim For Free On Weekends At Weehawken's $10.5M Pool Until June 23
New Jersey residents have two more weekends to swim for free at Weehawken's brand-new pool complex. Located on Port Imperial Boulevard, the $10.5 million complex opened last August, making this summer its first full season. Registration for summer passes will open Friday, June 9, due to site updates and payment processing, its website says. The passes will be implemented on June 23. Police are on the hunt for three girls who became unruly, assaulted staff members, and vandalized cars at a Philadelphia pool, authorities said. Chaos began around 4:25 p.m. Thursday, July 21, when the swimmers were asked to leave the McVeigh Recreation Center due to their disruptive behavior, but they refused and became hostile towards the staff, Philadelphia police said. IDs Of Bayonne Brothers Who Drowned In Pool Released
A pair of brothers who drowned in a Bayonne pool this week have been identified by NBC News. Jack Jiang, 16, and Chu Ming Zheng, 19, were in the deep end of a Lincoln Community School pool being monitored by three lifeguards when they were spotted in distress, local police said. The elder victim had just finished his freshman year at University of Miami, while the younger was heading into his senior year of high school.
