Sports Industry Legend, Englewood Dad Chris Bernard Dies, 47 Chris Bernard, a Bergen County, NJ dad, former Adelphi University Hall of Fame basketball star and CEO who once worked in a VP role for the NY Knicks, has died. He was 47 years old. As of Wednesday, Jan. 8, more than $220,000 had been raised on a GoFundMe launched to support Chris' wife, Amanda, and their three children, Roman, Jude, and Chloe, of Englewood. The campaign was launched by Dan Gladstone, a senior VP at the National Basketball Players Association. Chris' death spread shock and sadness through the basketball community on a national level. Farzaie, 41, who owns Bella Pizza in Hillsborough, met the 60-year-old NBA legend when he said he was elbowed by him during a pickup game at a local YMCA in 2002. Know Him? Man Wanted For Stealing $15K Rolex From Stamford Store, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly stole a $15,000 Rolex from an area jewelry store. The incident took place around 4 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at a jewelry store on High Ridge Road. According to Stamford Police Sgt. Sean Scanlan, the man walked into the store, asked to see the Rolex, put it on his wrist, then ran out of the store.  The suspect is described as being Black in his 30s to 40s. He had a beard and was wearing blue surgical scrubs with a NY Knicks hat. He got into a black 4-door Honda with no license plate. …
