UPDATE: A North Arlington couple from India were both found dead in what was believed to be a murder-suicide after a neighbor heard their 3½-year-old daughter crying, the husband’s father said. Acclaimed Indian chef and Verona resident Floyd Cardoz died from COVID-19 at the age of 59, reports say. Cardoz, known for his roles at Indian fine dining restaurants Tabla and Bombay Bread Bar in Manhattan, came back from India via Frankfurt on March 8 “feeling feverish,” he said in an Instagram post. He admitted himself to a hospital in New York thinking he had the flu, said Lou Palma, Cardoz’s close friend. Cardoz -- who appeared on Season 2 of David Chang's "Ugly Delicious" -- died from complications of the virus at Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center in Glen Ridge. …

Flight From India To Newark Resumes After Security Threat: Report
An Air India flight from Mumbai that was forced to land in London due to an unspecified security threat is once again headed to Newark, WABC 7 reported Thursday. The flight was forced to land at Stanstead Airport for what the airline originally described in a tweet as a bomb threat, but that tweet was deleted, according to WABC 7. The plane was allowed to continue on to its destination after about an hour on the ground.

Bed Bug Infestation Reported On Air India Flights From Newark
Passengers on multiple Air India flights out of Newark Liberty International Airport are reporting an infestation of bed bugs in the aircraft seats. Among them Pravin Tonsekar, who sat in the business class seats for a 17-hour flight Tuesday with his wife and kids. "All our seats infested with bed bugs," he said in a Tweet.
