High-Speed Crash Kills 29-Year-Old Man On Northumberland Road
A 29-year-old man was killed in a high-speed crash in Saratoga County early Wednesday morning, July 2. Troopers were dispatched around 6:30 a.m. to West River Road in the town of Northumberland following reports of a serious collision. A preliminary investigation found that James Morgan, of Hudson Falls, was driving a Ford sedan at a high rate of speed when he struck the back of a Jeep Cherokee, according to New York State Police. To "clean up the streets" from drug dealers before the holidays, a Hudson Valley drug task force initiated a special operation, arresting six alleged dealers. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force initiated "Operation Silent Night" in early October in an attempt to aggressively investigate and arrest drug dealers before the holidays. According to Det. Sgt. Haworth Couple Hospitalized In Deck Mishap
A Haworth couple were hospitalized after a deck rail at their home gave way, authorities said. The Paulson Place couple, both in their mid-60s, fell five or so feet in the mishap shortly after 6:30 p.m., Detective Sgt. James Morgan said. Both were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center – the man with rib and wrist pain and the woman with head and back pain – Morgan said.

Haworth Police Sgt. James Morgan has handled a variety of important duties for his department. After six years as a patrol officer, he was sworn to his new rank this week.
