Driver Killed In Fiery Morris County Crash: Authorities A driver was killed in a fiery crash in Morris County late on Wednesday, Feb. 1, authorities said. The crash occurred on Southgate Parkway near the intersection with South Street in Morris Township shortly before 11:20 p.m. Morris County Prosecutor’s Office PIO Meghan Knab told Daily Voice. A vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree before going up in flames, Officer Knab said. The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene while firefighters responded to extinguish the blaze. The crash remained under investigation by the MCPO. No further details were released.

The chase began around 9:40 p.m. Monday when New York State troopers attempted to stop a 2001 Toyota Tacoma on the Taconic State Parkway traveling north in the town of East Fishkill, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
