Hundreds of workers will lose their jobs in early 2025 as Big Lots winds down operations at its Pennsylvania distribution center near Tremont, Schuylkill County, according to a WARN notice. Demolition Of Nabisco Site Resuming Year After Postponement
Almost a year after it was called of amid public outcry, plans to demolish the shuttered Nabisco factory in Fair Lawn have once again been finalized. "Demolition at the Nabisco site is expected to resume shortly, with state approval. A non-explosive demolition will be undertaken," said a post on the borough's website on Monday, April 22. What's left of the shuttered Nabisco factory on Route 208 will remain standing a little while longer. The borough of Fair Lawn announced the implosion, set for Saturday, April 15, has been postponed. A new date and time has not been announced. Amazon Opening Distribution Center In Franklin: Report
Retailing giant Amazon plans to open a distribution center in Franklin Township, local officials told mycentraljersey.com. In addition to the distribution center, slated to open by June, the company is also opening two warehouses at Weston Canal Road and Randolph Road. The site is under construction. More than 1,000 positions on two shifts will be created, with hundreds more temporary positions created during peak holiday periods.
