The collision occurred around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, when a Lexus sedan heading east on Essex Street approached Summit Avenue, Hackensack Police Capt. Darrin DeWitt said.
A Honda Pilot heading west on Essex entered the intersection and attempted to turn left into the path of the oncoming Lexus, DeWitt said.
Three occupants of the Lexus were taken by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center, DeWitt said. The driver suffered a laceration on the head, while two passengers complained of body pain, he said.
