Poll Sheds Light On Public's Reaction To Trump's $300M White House Ballroom Most Americans oppose President Donald Trump's decision to demolish the White House's East Wing to build a $300 million ballroom funded by private donations, according to a new poll. The ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll found that 56% of US adults oppose the demolition project, including 45% who said they "strongly" oppose it. The poll was released on Thursday, Oct. 30, about 10 days after demolition began. Just 28% support the move, with 15% expressing strong support. Another 16% said they were unsure about the project, which is expected to be completed before 2029. The …
