Political Sign Thief Busted: Point Pleasant PD A 67-year-old Manasquan man was arrested and charged with stealing political signs from properties in Point Pleasant, authorities announced Friday, Oct. 2 Last month, officers received  reports that numerous political signs had been removed from properties in Point Pleasant Borough without authorization, Point Pleasant police said.  Gregory Hall was identified as the suspect and charged with two counts of theft and was released on a complaint-summons pending a future court appearance, police said.

Somers Point Man Had 1K Images Of Child Porn: Prosecutor A 71-year-old Somers Point admitted to possessing child pornography, authorities announced. William Barringer pleaded guilty to possession of child sexual exploitation materials, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. Per the terms of a plea agreement, he faces a three-year prison sentence, authorities said. Last October, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Barringer's residence, seizing a tablet that contained at least 1,000 images depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child, authorities said. He will be sentenced in December, authorities said.

Motorcyclist Ejected In Route 80 Crash In Hope Twp: Njsp A 58-year-old Centereach, NY motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Route 80  in Warren County on Wednesday, Sept. 23, authorities said. At 10:45 a.m., troopers responded to Route 80 west in Hope Township when a Harley-Davidson motorcycle lost directional control while changing lanes and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for New Jersey State police said. The motorcyclist was ejected from the crash and sustained serious injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
