Battery Hazards Spark Huge Recall Of Popular Tumbler Cups
More than 75,000 light-up tumblers are being recalled after a child accessed a button battery inside a cup, raising choking and ingestion risks.
Lifetime Brands, based in Garden City, New York, issued the recall for about 75,700 BUILT LUUM tumblers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, March 19. The cups can break, exposing the button cell battery stored in a compartment at the bottom.
