An 80-year-old woman died after being trapped inside a burning home in Baltimore County — where firefighters later discovered there were no working smoke detectors, officials said. Crews were called around 6:07 p.m. Thursday, April 17, to the 8900 block of Millers Island Boulevard in Edgemere, where fire was pouring from the rear of the home, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. A death investigation has been launched in Baltimore County after a man was found suffering from multiple stab wounds and later died from his injuries, police say. Officers from the Baltimore County Police Department were called at approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday night to investigate a reported stabbing on Tradepoint Avenue in Edgemere involving a man who had multiple injuries to his upper body.
