Now, they are hunting the driver. In the video, two kids being escorted by an adult can be seen walking toward the bus as the truck sped past the open doors. Authorities are trying to locate a missing Brooklyn woman and her toddler daughter. Jayla Echevarria, 20, and her 3-year-old daughter Nova were last seen leaving their building on East 96th Street and Linden Boulevard in East Flatbush around 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, according to the NYPD. Jayla was wearing a black top and jeans, while Nova was seen wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, and pink sneakers. No other details were given. UPPAbaby is recalling one of its jogging strollers over concerns they may pose a significant safety hazard, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced. The recall involves all UPPAbaby all-terrain RIDGE jogging strollers, which have an extendable canopy with a mesh window and zipper pocket, disc hand brake system, and an adjustable handlebar with a wrist strap. Halo is recalling five models of its children’s projector flashlights because the company has received two reports of children accessing the button cell batteries and in one case swallowing them. A New York school district is cautioning the community to be wary after discovering that there were cannabis-laced cookies designed to look like name-brand products being sold on store shelves. The PTA for the district, located on Long Island, in the city of Long Beach in Nassau County, alerted Schools Superintendent Jennifer Gallagher that local stores were carrying cannabis-laced cookies that are designed to look exactly like Chips Ahoy and Oreos (see photos above).
