Firefighters Extinguish 4th Of July Fire In Scorching Heat: Delaware Twp FD Triple digit temperatures couldn't stop firefighters in Delaware Township from extinguishing a fire on the 4th of July. At 7 p.m., firefighters responded to a generator fire and found a house ablaze, the Delaware Township Fire Company said.  Multiple units worked on the fire and were able to contain it to the attic, but extensive overhaul was required, firefighters said. Firefighters worked through 100 degree heat for two hours to extinguish the blaze, fire officials said.
