At 10:39 p.m., troopers responded to Emley Road in Alexandria Township after two people sustained non-life-threatening injuries installing the water heater, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The two people were transported to an area hospital, Lebron said. The incident remains under investigation, Lebron said.

At 1:50 p.m., Hanover Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Elm Place after a Hyundai Sonata drove into a grassy area and struck a tree, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. The 83-year-old driver was transported to Morristown Medical Center and pronounced dead, authorities said. The driver, who was not identified by police, was the only occupant in the vehicle.
