Daylight Saving Countdown: When Do Clocks Change? Daylight Saving Countdown: When Do Clocks Change? Daylight Saving Countdown: When Do Clocks Change?
Daylight Saving Countdown: When Do Clocks Change? The countdown is on: Daylight saving time ends in days, and a familiar clock ritual will shake up daily routines. Clocks across most of the US turn back one hour at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, Nov. 1, returning to 1 a.m., according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. That puts the switch just eight days away. The return to standard time brings an extra hour that night, potentially allowing more sleep. But there’s a trade-off: Evening darkness will arrive earlier by the clock. Sunrise also shifts earlier, bringing more morning light. The reset does not create or erase da…

So you worry about it.  "I would have said the NFL could have probably postponed that match, if you want…

Mink Farm Outbreak Raises Alarm Over Potential Human Pandemic Threat A bird flu outbreak on a US fur farm is raising alarm over a threat that could reach far beyond its cages. A ProPublica investigation published Friday, Oct. 23, found that H5N1 had spread for more than two months at Utah’s C&T Fenn Farms, located about an hour south of Salt Lake City. During that time, officials declined to order the mink killed or actively monitor workers for infection, the report said. Flu experts warned that continued spread among mink could give the virus opportunities to adapt to humans. That is a potential danger, not evidence that a pandemic has begun. The Cent…
