Demolition Of Maryland’s Key Bridge Is About To Begin — Here's When The tear-down is on.  Crews will begin dismantling what’s left of the Francis Scott Key Bridge "on or about" Monday, July 7, marking a major step in Maryland’s massive rebuild project, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) officials announced Thursday, June 26. Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket will now open on Friday, May 9, the resort's website said. The 92,000-square-foot park next to Foxwoods was previously anticipating to welcome guests on Friday, May 23. 3 Hudson Valley Companies Announce Around 300 Layoffs Several hundred Hudson Valley workers will lose their jobs as three companies, either close, merge or cutback on production. The companies, all located in Orange County, Frito-Lay and Gen-Pak, both in Middletown, and Amscan in Newburgh, filed WARN Notices with the state that inform them of upcoming layoffs. Frito-Lay said it would lay off 88 workers beginning on Friday, Aug. 30 due to construction projects at the plant. Indoor Sports Complex Approved As Latest Addition To Cape May Airport A large indoor sports complex is coming to Cape May County, featuring year-round space for sports like soccer and lacrosse. The commission for the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) unanimously approved a resolution to enter a lease agreement with Aviation Sports Complex LLC. The DRBA announced the agreement on Tuesday, Jan. 30.  The developer is planning to build an 80,000-square-foot domed facility at Cape May Airport.
