At 6:45 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at Winding Brook Apartments on Bradford Avenue, a spokesperson for the mayor's office said. A person was pulled from the fire and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The person has not been publicly identified. The incident remains under investigation, authorities said.
