At 12:51 a.m., officers responded to Admiral Wilson Blvd. and 16th St after a pedestrian entered the roadway and was struck by a vehicle driven by an off-duty police officer with the Camden County Police Department, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said. Two Missing After Last Seen At Mountain: Montville PD Two people are missing in Montville and are considered at-risk, authorities said. John Higgins, 77, and Virginia Taetzch, 87, were last seen at Pyramid Avenue by Boonton Avenue, Montville police said. They were last heard from Sunday, Aug. 30 at 1 p.m., police said. Higgins is 6'5" with white and gray hair while Taetzch is 5'3" with brown eyes and light brown hair, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact 911 or Montville Twp. SUV Goes Airborne On Route 80 In Mount Olive: Njsp A Mitsubishi SUV went airborne on Route 80 in Mount Olive on Monday, Aug. 31, authorities said. At 8:48 p.m., the SUV was traveling westbound when the driver lost directional control of the vehicle, overturned, struck the right concrete barrier, went airborne, traveled off the roadway, and landed on Main Street below the Route 80 west overpass, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
