Pollock is one of two contestants trying to stop Ding, 33, and his record breaking winning streak on the venerable game show. Fans of the show will want to set their DVRs, as due to the NFL Draft, "Jeopardy!" will be airing at 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 on ABC stations in New Jersey and Philadelphia.
Ding's 30 -game winning streak ranks 5th all time. He has won $849,603, which ranks 5th all-time. His winning streak is a record for New Jersey residents.
A foodie, Ding and his sister run an Instagram account devoted to General Tso's chicken.
Ding graduated Princeton University in 2013 with a degree in molecular biology and later worked for the City of Jersey City, according to his Linkedin. Since 2021, he has worked at the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency
Gov. Mikie Sherrill and Sen. Cory Booker are among the many Garden Staters cheering Ding on.
While Ding has a long way to go, "Jeopardy!" host Ken Jennings said he wants to see his record for most consecutive games won in a row, 74, be broken.
"That would be a record that nobody's beaten for 20 odd years. I would be very excited, actually. Are you imaging me just be getting more and more pissed with every game? 'If he wins, I'll eat my hat or you know," Jennings said during an audience q-n-a, posted to the show's social media.
A graduate of Miami of Ohio University, Pollock previously served as COO and CEO at Pilot Freight Services, according to his Linkedin.
