The Wilton Y Wahoos continue to prove that their swim program can compete at any age level. The youngest group of Wahoos, ages 6 to 8, recently grabbed high finishes at the 8-and-under "Quadrathon" at Hopkins School.
Emma Babashak took first overall in the girls 8-and-under category with the highest combined score from all four races. Caroline Hess took third overall in the girls 8-and-under, while Ellen Holmquist took fifth. Rory Hess placed fourth overall in the 7-and-under boys category.
Babashak placed first in all four individual events -- the 25-yard freestyle, 25-yard fly, 25-yard breaststroke and 25-yard backstroke. Hess placed third in the 25-yard fly, 25-yard free, and 25-yard breaststroke. Holmquist grabbed fourth in the 25-yard breaststroke.
Other strong finishers for the Wahoos were Anna Imrie, Rita Roberts, Jack Kramer, Hailey Looney, Catharine Crampton and Breann DeCola.
