The fatal accident happened at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at a construction site in the 13000 block of Telegraph Road in Woodbridge, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Four construction workers were working on the mobile trailer when its supports suddenly collapsed, investigators said.
One of the workers, a 26-year-old man, was trapped underneath.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
Police did not identify the worker in the department's daily incident report released on Thursday, Aug. 13.
Investigators said there were no preliminary signs of foul play surrounding his death.
Additional information will be released if deemed necessary, police said.
