Wilton High School senior Mark Roberts and the rest of the schools ski team have ended their season on a high note. Both the boys and the girls medaled in their class S races, and the girls finished third in the states race.
On Tuesday, March 1, the boys beat Weston by 0.08 seconds to take first place and remain undefeated in the class S conference. Then in the states on Thursday, March 3, the boys finished fifth.
The girls also beat Weston on March 1 and finished their season in second place in the conference. Their third-place finish in states broke a 12-year drought since the girls team last earned a medal.
These are incredible results for the WHS SKI TEAM, but even more impressive that both teams excelled in the same year, the teams website says.
