WILTON, Conn. The Wilton Library summer art show is coming up, and the library wants your art to show.
Submissions are being accepted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 30 through July 2. Paintings, pastels, drawings and sculptures will be accepted. Although, they must be framed, wired and ready for display.
Its always great to see what new pieces Wilton artists have prepared for this exhibition. Friends and neighbors get an appreciation for the raw and varied talent that lives in this community, said Ed MacEwen, art chairman for the library.
The show usually features more than 50 Wilton artists and more than 100 pieces of art.
The opening reception for the show is from 6-7:30 p.m. July 6. It is open to the public. The art exhibition is from July 3 through Aug. 30. A portion of the proceeds from sales will benefit the librarys art fund.
An entry form is available on the Wilton Library website or at the front desk and must be submitted with the art work.
