New technology will be used for the live auction at the Wilton Library spring benefit, Beyond Words. Bidders will have iTouches to keep track of the bids placed on auction items, so they can enjoy their evening, easily know when to bid again on items and bring home the ones they desire.
We are so excited about using this technology, event co-chair Robin Roscillo said in a statement. Its just one of the many things that make this benefit Beyond Words just like the library.
The bidding information will be sent to participants on the iTouches, so there will be no need for people to hover over the items. Instead, they can continue to enjoy the event. The auction items include golf outings at exclusive clubs, vintage wines and wine tastings, and an early sweep through the annual Book Sale. The iTouches will also allow people to make donations directly to the Wilton Library.
Beyond Words will take place Friday, April 1, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $150, $300 and $500 with auction scrip provided for the higher-priced tickets. Ticket purchase can be done online, over the phone at 203-762-3950, Ext. 216, or at the librarys circulation desk.
