The wallaby had bolted from Lots of Love Farm on Monday, Dec. 30, but was quickly spotted at Walmart at 1370 Black Horse Pike before running into the woods, the sanctuary said.
But with the whole town looking for him, Rex was again spotted at Walmart where he was safely returned to the farm.
"Well, if this just didn't become the best night ever," Lots of Love said on Facebook. "With the help of some really cool kids and a really cool dad, we caught Rex at Walmart. He is home safe and sound! Thank you everyone, you're all amazing. He must really like Walmart."
Atlantic Coast Gymnastics in Williamstown assisted with locating Rex.
"One of our very own coaches was able to search and find the wallaby on the run in Williamstown this evening," Atlantic Coast gymnastics wrote on social media. "Way to go Coach Caitlyn and her mom!"
