Ex-'Jersey Boy'

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Former "Jersey Boys" cast member John Michael Coppola will give a one-night-only solo concert at Archbishop Stepinac High School at 8 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the school.

The New Rochelle native's concert, "Jersey Voice: Sinatra to Springsteen … And Everyone In Between," will feature selections from the 1940s to the present day. It tells the story of Coppola's moving his family from New Jersey to join the "Jersey Boys" cast in Chicago.

"Since 'Jersey Boys' relocated me to the Midwest, and my friends and family are primarily on the East Coast, I kept getting asked, ‘When are you going to come back east to perform?' " Coppola said in the release. "On the one-year anniversary of the debut of the concert, I was thrilled to confirm my concert date in White Plains."

Copolla will add more regional dates, but said in the release that he is excited for the homecoming Friday. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Stepinac Drama Department. Tickets are $30 and can be bought online.

Coppola's credits in regional U.S. and European theaters include "She Loves Me," "42nd Street," "Flight of the Lawnchair Man," "Hot Shoe Shuffle," "Forbidden Broadway" and "Singin' in the Rain."
