Moms Morning In: 10 a.m. Moms Morning In will take a field trip to explore the Noroton Heights fire station. Cost is $10 per child. Noroton Heights fire station, 209 Noroton Ave.
Art Show Reception: 6 p.m. The Darien Historical Society hosts a free wine and cheese reception for its art sale, To the Table. Darien Historical Society, 45 Old Kings Highway N.
Newcomers Fall Party: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The YWCA Darien/Norwalk hosts a party for the Newcomers Club. Taste local Connecticut wines and mingle with other people who are new to town. $55 per person. Darien Historical Society, 45 Old Kings Highway N.
Romantics Anonymous Screening: 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. The library hosts two screenings of the film, which tells the story of a chocolate factory boss who falls in love with one of his employees. Darien Library, 1441 Post Road.

Unwanted Drug Disposal Day: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop off your unwanted or unused prescription drugs so that they can be disposed of safely and properly. Darien Transfer Station, 126 Ledge Road.
St. Joseph at Darien Football: 1:30 p.m. St. Joseph High School will go up against the Blue Wave. Darien High School, 80 High School Lane.
Sunday, Sept. 30
The Sacred Space of Relationship talk: 9 a.m. Rev. Denise Trogdon will deliver her talk The Sacred Space of Relationship: Practicing Presence in a World of Distraction at St. Lukes Discovery Hour. St. Lukes Parish, 1864 Post Road.
Big Rig Gig: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kids can climb aboard more than 20 larger-than-life trucks, ranging from traditional construction and rescue vehicles to a one-of-a-kind monster truck at the 10th annual Big Rig Gig hosted by Opus for Person-to-Person. Tickets are $30 in advance per family and $40 at the door. Darien Town Hall parking lot, 2 Renshaw Road.
Blessing of the Animals: 11:15 a.m. Bring your pets down for a blessing by Rev. Dale Rosenberger. First Congregational Church of Darien, 14 Brookside Road.
