WESTPORT, Conn. Halloween 2011 will always be remembered as the year limbs were literally falling from the sky.
Ghosts and goblins celebrated the passing of the storm by trick-or-treating. Although the town was cautioned residents to postpone trick or treating till the following weekend, some daring folks kept with their holiday traditions. Many opted for Halloween parties in lieu of trick-or-treating, others took to the streets. Hector the fearless canine did both.
The Police Athletic League, in conjunction with the police and fire departments and the emergency medical service, is hosting trick-or-treating for the children who missed Halloween. The event takes place Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at police headquarters and the neighboring buildings.
A little storm could not keep Jeff Adelglass from celebrating his birthday on Halloween at Staples High School. Happy Birthday Jeff. A little birdie told me that Lori Sochol and Pam Troy Kopack are celebrating their birthdays, too. Have a wonderful day ladies!
Speaking about ladies congratulaitons to the Staples field hockey team for breaking Dariens four-year winning streak. Outstanding job. But ladies it is not all about you Staples' varsity football team defeated Darien in the snowstorm on Saturday. Go Wreckers!
