WESTPORT, Conn. HOT, HOT, HOT was the background tempo and temperature for miss Trixie Bell Engels 4th birthday party. The heat couldnt keep her canine friends or her siblings from an outstanding summer evening full of frolic and fun. Happy Birthday Trixie!
Julie Whamond and her family missed the sweltering weather in Westport this week. They were down under visiting family and friends in Australia. Welcome home Whamond family -- hope it was a great vacation!
Photographer Ron Lake also was away in France with his family. Rons annual European vacation has been his inspiration for the pieces that he sells at the Westport Fine Arts Festival. This year he will miss the show for the first time in a long time.
Visit www.RonLakephotography.com to view his portfolio and get a glimpse into another world. Also check out www.westportfineartsfestival.com for this years lineup of wonderful artists from all over.
Beating the heat was the topic on everyones agenda this week. Spunky Dylan Marone was surfing the waves while visiting his grandparents on Long Island. How refreshing!
A big thank you to all the great volunteers who helped set up the Westport Library book sale. It was about 110 degrees inside the sale tent, but that didnt stop Suzy Hooper and her team of volunteers this week. Please stop by this weekend for some great bargain books. It starts at 9 a.m., Saturday and ends Tuesday.
