Westport's teens are a major part of what makes our community great. Charlie Greenwald, class of 2012, interviewed Tina Weymouth and Chris Franz for Inklings, the Staples school paper. Westport neighbors, Chris and Tina are otherwise known as the iconic '80s band The Talking Heads. What a story Charlie!!
Staples senior Callie Loparo is more than an animal lover. Callie gives a voice to the dogs that speak for themselves. Rescuing and caring for dogs is this senior's main hobby. Congratulations to Westport resident Kelly Groglio, a senior at Greenwich Academy. Kelly received the Young Artist Award by the Connecticut Pioneer Branch of the National League of American Pen Women.
Even the rain couldn't keep Jimmy Kopack and Sami Hardy from going to their junior prom. Staples kids flocked together for a great night! While they were getting pretty for prom, fifth-grade Angels Dylan Marone and Skylar Celotto played some serious baseball, ending in another victory! Cheers to Joanne Heller and her daughter Bonnie. These special ladies hosted a Mad Hatter Tea Party to raise money for local charities. Way to go ladies!!
