WESTPORT, Conn. Friday's temperatures in Westport officially reached 100, but the heat index made it feel as hot as 110. When there's a sprinkler nearby to run around in, however, a heat wave doesn't seem as bad.
An excessive heat watch is in effect for Fairfield County until 10 p.m. Friday. The hot weather is expected to continue into Saturday. The National Weather Service is forecasting a daytime high of 95 Saturday. On Sunday, a more tolerable high of 86 is expected.
