WESTON, Conn. -- Volunteers helped kids learn the fundamentals of baseball Saturday during the "A" Summer Sandlot.
Mike Amato, the catcher and umpire, as well as Todd Derene and Bob Barash gave hitting pointers to Ethan Sacchetta.
The Weston Little League hosts the Summer Sandlot. The "A" Summer Sandlot meets most Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. at Bisceglie Fields.
"This is such a wonderful opportunity for the kids to get out on the field and have some fun. These kids love to play ball," Jodi Sacchetta said in an email to The Daily Weston.
