Weston OKs Revson Field Contract

WESTON, Conn. — The Revson Field remediations are expected to begin next week.

After an approval from the Conservation Commission on Tuesday, the Board of Selectmen unanimously approved a contract with Aquaturf to complete improvements to the Revson Field.

"He's a good contractor with exceptional equipment," Dave Ungar, Parks and Recreation director, told the Board of Selectmen on Thursday. "It's a family business, and they have their own top-notch equipment ... and experience in field grading and renovation."

Baseball players are known for leaving Revson Field with wet feet because of drainage problems. This project will help dry it out by "busting up" sand particles, allowing water to permeate the surface. It will also include laser grading, sodding and drainage work.
