Wegmans Begins Work On Montvale Location

MONTVALE, N.J. -- New York-based grocery chain Wegmans broke ground on a 225,000-square-foot facility on the site of the DePiero farm in Montvale, according to NJ.com.

DePiero's Farm will soon become a mixed-use development, anchored by a Wegmans grocery store.

The store will be the first Wegmans in Bergen County. The ground-breaking comes seven years after the DePiero family decided the farm was no longer viable, NJ.com said.

Developers said the 28-acre plot will be a mixed use lot, allowing for retail and residential properties, NJ.com said.
