The course will introduce students to the fundamentals of 3-D character design and animation. Each student will learn the mechanics of Maya, an industry-grade 3-D software environment, and produce a moving character. In addition, this studio offers 3-D scanning and printing technologies.
Students will be able to take home a QuickTime movie of their animation and a 3-D print of their form. Scholarship recipients must be between ages 12 and 17 (by July 6, 2015) and adhere to all WCC stipulations, provide their own lunches during the summer classes, and student and parent/guardian will sign a commitment form for Field Library for attendance at the WCC Class.
