City workers dug into the gazebo in Jan Peek Square Thursday afternoon in order to fix a water main break.
Public Works Supervisor Vince Powell said about seven different businesses and a handful of residents were without water beacuse of the break on the corner of Central Avenue and Division Street..
"We have a four inch water valve that was probably put in 1936," Powell said, "Because of where it's located under the footing of the gazebo, the presure from the footing broke the pipe so we'll probably be replacing a section of the pipe today."
The break was fixed within a few hours but cleanup will likely continue into Friday.
