FAIRFIELD, Conn. - There will be a first-time champion in the annual Fairfield Holiday Classic basketball tournament.
Fairfield Warde stunned Prep, while Notre Dame handled Ludlowe in the semifinal games on Wednesday. Now either the Mustangs and the Lancers will take home the city title for the first time since the tournament was reinstated in 2004.
Warde takes on Notre Dame in the championship game at 8 p.m. on Friday at Alumni Hall at Fairfield University. Prep will play Ludlowe in the consolation game at 6 p.m.
