Wappinger Man Charged With Drug Possession

WAPPINGER, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Jordan Leach, 21, of Wappinger on Oct. 16, charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, possession of a hypodermic instrument and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Troopers conducted a welfare check on Leach after observing his vehicle stopped on the shoulder of Old Post Road in the Town of Wappinger. An investigation conducted by the arresting officer revealed that Leach possessed heroin, marijuana and a hypodermic needle.

Leach was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on Tuesday, at 5:30 p.m.
