A Wilton resident was hit by a car while taking a walk around his neighborhood Sunday, March 6. After knocking the 56-year-old man to the ground, the vehicle kept going, police said. The man returned home with what police described as noticeable abrasions, which concerned his wife, who called police.
The man appeared to have no recollection of the incident and was unable to describe the vehicle, police say. Police found a damaged side view mirror near the mans house where they believe the incident could have taken place.
Although police were not completely sure that a vehicle was responsible for his injuries but were continuing to investigate it as such because of the evidence collected.
