An accident between a CTTransit bus and a vehicle occurred at about 6 p.m. Wednesday at Broad and Bedford streets in Stamford. The bus, which was northbound on Bedford, had stopped to accommodate passengers. The vehicle, which was traveling behind the bus, attempted to go around it on the one-way street when the collision occurred.
The vehicle sustained damage to its right side. The vehicle's driver was its only occupant at the time. Two CTTransit supervisors arrived shortly after the accident, and one began questioning the driver of the vehicle. Police arrived about 10 minutes afterward.
