PEEKSKILL, N.Y. The same president will lead the Peekskill City School District Board of Education for the coming school year.
Current board President Joseph Urbanowicz was re-elected by his fellow trustees to maintain the position for the next school year at Tuesday's reorganization meeting. Trustee Michael Simpkins was elected to serve as vice president in the place of retiring trustee Fran Feuerman.
Newly elected board trustees Colin Smith and Lisa Aspinall-Kellawon were also sworn in to serve three-year terms and will replace Feuerman and Marcella Bobe.
Board trustees volunteered to serve on various school district committees in the coming 2012-13 school year:
PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) Committee: Colin Smith
Common Council Liaison Committee: Michael Simpkins
Facilities Committee: Joseph Urbanowicz
Budget Planning Committee: Lisbeth Bock
Audit Committee: Lisbeth Bock
IEP Committee: Lisa Aspinall-Kellawon
District Educational Plans Committee: Lisa Aspinall-Kellawon
Board Policy Committee: Tuesday McDonald
Wellness Committee: Tuesday McDonald
Code of Conduct Committee: Douglas Glickert
