A $2,000 college scholarship will be awarded to an Upper Saddle River student who exhibits excellence and achievement in the areas of academics, leadership and community service.
The Upper Saddle River PBA considers a number of criteria when determining eligibility for a scholarship. There is no set combination of criteria that will guarantee an award.
In general, the academic record and student profile of an award recipient should represent significant achievement. However, all aspects of a student’s application are considered including specialized talents, extracurricular activities, awards, honors, and criteria such as socioeconomic background, and the relevance of the response to one of the required essay questions.
Submit complete application, essay, and letters of recommendation by May 15 to Upper Saddle River PBA, Local 218, PO Box 543, Saddle River NJ 07458-0543.
