Traffic on Post Road East in Westport should be back to normal within the hour, said a flagger working on scene where a utility pole was brought down Tuesday afternoon. At 4:30, eastbound traffic near 252 Post Road East was down to one lane and westbound traffic was flowing without delay.
At around noon, a box truck traveling in the area of 252 Post Road East snagged low-hanging wires and brought a utility pole down. Traffic on Post Road East was slowed to one lane in both directions, according to police reports.
