PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The high school spring play, Youre a Good Man, Charlie Brown, isn't the only event happening in the district this weekend.
On Saturday there will be a coffee with the superintendent at 9 a.m. at the administration building at 1031 Elm St. Peekskill's Superintendent of Schools James Willis will talk to parents about various issues including the recently adopted 2012-13 budget that will be voted on by residents on May 15.
Also on Saturday, the wellness committee is holding a workshop for Woodside parents from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Woodside Elementary School, located at 612 Depew St. The workshop will consist of a cooking demonstration of two healthy dishes with enough food for everyone to taste each dish and a presentation on nutrition in whole foods vs. processed foods. There will also be a free raffle for a chance to win a basket of nutritious ingredients. Free babysitting is available for children 4 years and older.
