Several liquor stores in Ridgefield also failed integrity checks, according to the Ridgefield Press.

The two Redding stores, Redding Wine & Spirits, on Black Rock Turnpike, and Georgetown Liquor Store, on Main Street were checked using a 20-year old volunteer, police told the newspaper.

Police Chief Douglas Fuchs told the Redding Pilot that the DCP checked stores in both Redding and Ridgefield on Friday and that no arrest were made, although administrative action will be taken by the Liquor Commission.

The checks were performed after a request from both police departments because of rumors that underage residents were able to purchase alcohol, reported the Redding Pilot.

In addition to the two stores in Redding, 60 percent of liquor stores in Ridgefield failed the check, the Redding Pilot reported.

The stores in Ridgefield that failed the check were Ridgefield Liquor on Danbury Road Best Cellars on Danbury Road, Cellar XV on Danbury Road, Route 7 Wines and Liquor on Ethan Allen Highway, Cheers Ridgefield on Main Street, and West Lane Deli on West Lane, according to the Ridgefield Press.
