Officers responded to the 1300 block of S. Wood Avenue and found 19 vehicles vandalized in an apartment complex, Linden police said. Officers later learned that similar incidents were reported in other areas of the city and in surrounding towns, police said.
Detectives believe that a single suspect committed these crimes, largely between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Monday, police said.
The suspect is described as a light skinned or white man operating a dark gray Nissan Rogue with no visible license plate, tinted rear windows, chrome trim, and roof racks, police said.
These incidents are being investigated by the Linden Police Detective Bureau in cooperation with detectives from other agencies in Union and Middlesex Counties.
