DANBURY, Conn. Two Danbury men were arrested on charges of driving under the influence in separate incidents this past weekend, police said.
Hernan Rincoreo, 35, of 30 Maple Ave., was arrested early Saturday after he was seen driving erratically on Town Hill Avenue, said Danbury police Capt. Tom Wendel. Officers apprehended Rincoreo on Fleetwood Avenue in Bethel, where police said he failed roadside sobriety tests and was observed with blood shot eyes and smelling of alcohol.
Rincoreo also was charged with operating a vehicle without a license and failure to provide insurance.
Harold Rodriguez, 21, of 104 Franklin St., was arrested early Sunday after he struck another vehicle on Farview Avenue and tried to flee the scene, Wendel said. The 25-year-old female driver of the other car was not injured in the accident, nor was Rodriguez, who was apprehended by police nearby on Mallory Avenue, police said.
Rodriguez also was charged with evading and operating a vehicle without a license.
Both men are scheduled to appear Aug. 30 in Danbury Superior Court.
