Two Charged After Brawl at Fairfield School

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Two students at Notre Dame High School were charged with assault after an attack on a visitor to the Fairfield school Monday afternoon. The boys, both 17-year-old Bridgeport residents, started a fistfight with the other boy on school grounds, police say.

According to police reports, the victim was on campus to visit a female student after classes Monday. While waiting in the bus drop-off area, he was confronted by one of the suspects, and the two began arguing. Witnesses told police that the Notre Dame student punched the victim, with the other student joining in later.

Both Notre Dame students were issued juvenile summons for third-degree assault and a breach of the peace. Both were released on a promise to appear in court on March 1.
