STAMFORD, Conn. New situations bring new challenges, and Kara Wintergrass knows that her graduating class at Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford will be able to overcome any difficulties it may run into in the future.
Remember you have already accomplished a lot, Wintergrass, the class valedictorian, said during her speech. She also reminded her classmates that they were once worried about not knowing how to get around Trinity Catholic.
One of the highlights of commencement was when the Senior Singers held a surprise performance covering Green Days Time of Your Life, bringing tears to the eyes of many of the 115 graduates.
The ceremony was held in the schools gymnasium because it rained earlier on Saturday and Principal Tony Pavia did not want the weather to affect the events. Having the ceremony indoors made the day familiar for Pavia, who graduated in the same gymnasium 40 years earlier.
