Trevor Major, 50, leaves behind his wife, Melissa, and the couple’s three children: Ailenna, Grayson, and Jake, organizer Christina Meytrott wrote in the campaign that had raised more than $57,000 as of Wednesday, May 13.
Trevor had a pre-existing heart condition that prevented him from obtaining life insurance, the campaign reads. Melissa is now dealing with mounting household and living expenses while trying to provide stability for the children after the loss of their father.
Trevor's obituary on the Vander Plaat Funeral Home website said he had a passion for muscle cars and music, spending his time working on cars, collecting and playing guitars, and enjoying everything from jazz and classical music to heavy metal.
He was known for his humor, philosophical nature, and strong work ethic, approaching both conversations and his career with purpose and a genuine care for others, his obituary reads. Above all, Trevor was devoted to his family and cherished family outings, quiet moments at home, and daily coffee talks with his wife.
“Melissa is doing everything she can to provide stability and comfort for Ailenna, Grayson, and Jake as they adjust to life without their father. Every donation will help ease the pressure and allow Melissa to focus on her family during this unimaginable time.”
